1. What the App Does

GOSTREAM is a media player application only. It allows users to connect to their own media servers using their own credentials and play media content. The App:

• Does NOT provide, sell, host, or distribute any media content
• Does NOT include any built-in channels, streams, or content sources
• Does NOT promote or facilitate access to unauthorized or illegal content
• Functions solely as a client/player — similar to VLC Media Player or MX Player

All content responsibility lies entirely with the user and their content provider.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide and improve the App:

• Account Information: When you sign in, we store your login credentials (encrypted) locally on your device to maintain your session.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and platform type (mobile/TV) for compatibility and support purposes.
• Push Notification Token: If you enable notifications, we collect your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you app updates and announcements.
• Usage Data: Favorite channels, watch history, and playback preferences are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do NOT collect or store your media server credentials on our servers
• We do NOT track, log, or monitor what content you watch
• We do NOT collect your location data
• We do NOT collect your contacts, photos, or any other personal files
• We do NOT sell, share, or trade any personal information to third parties

4. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Send push notifications about app updates (if enabled by you)
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Provide customer support when you contact us

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your media server credentials are stored only on your device using encrypted local storage
• We use industry-standard security measures to protect any data transmitted to our servers
• All network communications use secure protocols where possible

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): For push notifications — governed by Google's Privacy Policy
• Coil Image Loading: For loading media artwork — images are cached locally on your device

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your data: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Contact us to request deletion of any server-side data.
• Opt out of notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
